About Me

I have been working on my Dissertation about Milblogs by US soldiers in the Iraq War since early 2006. The first years I was financed by a scholarship from the Landesgraduiertenförderung Baden-Würrtemberg.

I am currently working as a lecturer and student ocunsellor at the American Studies department of the University of Tübingen  (in German as a Wissenschaftliche Angestellte). The job consists of teaching cultural studies and literature classes and running a student counselling service for students of the department.

I am interested in popular culture and politics in the broadest sense. This has taken  me to a lot of places, from romantic comedies to postcolonial writing to health care reform. My current focus lies on New Media studies and War studies and I am combining  both in my dissertation.
